What is a Log Book Service?

A Log book service is a structured service defined by each manufacture what needs to be checked or replaced at a certain intervals.

Why do I need a log book service?

It is very important even when the vehicle is outside of the manufactures warranty period to keep on these structured services to avoid any unnecessary repair work. For an example: An in-tank fuel filter may be due every 80,000 km and if this has been left off or forgotten can in turn drastically reduces the life span of a fuel pump. Or If the long life spark plugs were not changed can lead to an ignition failure causing a misfire.

I'm thinking of replacing my car, can you help?

Yes we are always just a phone call away or just pop in to discuss your options. With our knowledge we can make sure you will be making an educated decision on the right vehicle for you. We are not Vehicle dealers we just want to help, after all we are the ones that have to repair them when they break.

What happens if I miss a Service?

Missing a service can be damaging due to a build up of carbon deposits in all the wrong places. Oils and fluids will congeal as additives start to separate over time. The manufactures have already stretched out the service intervals as a marketing tactic to mislead there engineering marvels. The truth is they are only concerned to be able to meet there warranty obligations. Did you know a certain manufactures starting with the letter B have a gearbox that they claim the fluid inside is filled for life.... would you continue to use the same oil over and over in your deep fryer?

Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?

Yes we have loan cars, in fact three of these full electric Nissan Leafs.

Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?

The short answer is NO. There is a legislation covering this area of concerns the dealers do not have exclusivity to your vehicle unless they have sold you an extended warranty outside of the manufactures 3yr / 5yr / 7yr +. If ever they claim that you must only use them please ask for this in writing from the speaker and they will most likely retract on there words. I have lost my Log Book, do I need it?

The log book is definitely handy when it come time to on sell the vehicle as it is used a quick summarised view of how well the vehicle has been maintained throughout the life of the car. The log book is also used as a guide of what is required to be done at each service period. Although we have access to every vehicles log book schedule digitally from a workshop perspective it is always good to cross check during the course of the service to confirm everything has been carried out correctly.

Do you provide Digital reports for the work you have done?

If we have your email address the detailed invoice can definitely be sent to you at your request.

How much will my service cost?

We like to be as transparent as possible, before your service or at the time of booking we will be clear with you of any cost involved. In our minds we think this is the way we would like to be dealt with if the shoe was on the other foot.

How can I pay for my Service?

We accept all methods, cash, card, cheque, even crypto currency (T.P.R the peoples reserve)

When are you Open?

Our open times are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3pm Fridays. Closed public holidays.

Are you open on weekends?

Not open weekends as we feel it is important to have time of rest and spend time with our families. Sorry.

What is the earliest time I can bring my car in?

You can bring your car in at any time, you will just need to have a chat with the team to arrange any requirements.

Can I collect my car after hours?

You can absolutely pick up after hours, you just need to inform us of any requirements.

Can you pick up my car from home?

We do offer a pick up service, this was very popular during the Covid days of lock down.

Can you drop me home when I deliver my car for servicing or repair?

Not a problem at all, ideally let us know at the time of booking to make sure we don't have you waiting for a driver.

What happens if something is not right after my car service?

Best thing is to contact us immediately and not let it drag out a few days. If we don't know about it we can't help you. We are happy to sort out any problems you might have. Plus you have the added assurance of our REPCO Nationwide Warranty if you find yourself out of town.

Will you give me reminders when my next sercive is due?

Yes we do a subtle sms reminder usually around the start of the month to give you plenty of time to get organised and secure a booking at the most convenient time for you.

Can my car be serviced at the same time it is being repaired?

If we are challenged by time it is not unusual for use to pair up another technician on your vehicle just to get the job done.

How do I book my car in for a service?

You can give us a call any time to request a booking even if its after hours our message bank can assist. Be sure to have your Rego number handy as this is a huge help to address any booking. You can also send a booking request though our website.

How often should I really service my car?

We recommend sticking to the log book schedule generally but if your one of those customers that only drive to the church on Sundays a conversation is needed to best keep your vehicle.
